Lydia Prokosh and Jeremy Sunshine receive the Rotary mug after their presentation at the January 14th meeting of the Floyd Rotary Club. The Floyd Rotary Club sponsored the two students from Floyd County High School to attend a weekend long leadership training at VT’s Skelton Center. About 150 students from surrounding states, Virginia and several other countries participated in the activities. Both Lydia and Jeremy enjoyed meeting new people, hearing different perspectives from students from other countries during the mock U.N. activity, and Rene’ Dubois (speaker). Some activities were serious and some were fun like the swing dance and music renaissance academy. They recommend it highly for future leaders.
