Susan Ranson, Executive Director of Good Samaritan Hospice spoke to the Floyd Rotary Club. She dispelled many misconceptions about Hospice and its services. They provide a “quality of life for the life you have remaining”. She emphasized that patients can continue to se their own doctors, do not have to die within 6 months, some patients ‘graduate’ from hospice because they get better, and hospice is for the whole family.
